Versatile for both indoor and outdoor display, your Grand Flag represents a symbol of pride and identity with a commitment to quality craftsmanship. All Grand US Flags are made in the United States of America.
US Flag Etiquette
The United States Flag Code (Section 1 of Title 4) establishes advisory rules for display and care of the flag of the United States.
- Always raise the flag to the highest position possible, especially when displayed alongside other flags
- Shine a light on her if displaying from dusk-dawn
- Do not allow your flag to come in contact with tree branches, buildings, or other hazards that might cause damage. Bring your flag in during inclement weather and strong winds
- Keep your flag looking her best by hand washing with mild soap. Let her hang dry completely before displaying
- Many dry-cleaners will clean your flag for free
US Flag Disposal
When she becomes damaged beyond repair and is no longer recognizable as a full-size US Flag, you should respectfully retire your flag:
- The most respectful way of disposal is by burning. Build a fire that is large enough to consume the flag entirely, and fold the flag into a triangle. Set the flag on the fire and ensure that it burns completely
- You may also deliver a worn flag to a local VFW, American Legion, Boy Scout, or Girl Scout Troop for ceremonial disposal
- Many hardware stores also collect US flags for ceremonial disposal
